Land Holders’ Association

The central committee of the Land Holders’ Association opines that, immediately after the adaptation of the Indian Constitution on 29th November, 1949, the progressive acts which were in existence and which were supposed to be passed at that time were kept outside the purview of the judicial review through the first amendment of the Constitution by convincing the members of the legislature with wrong message. At the same time from the third chapter of the Constitution Article 31 that says about Right to Property was deleted and in that place Article 31A and 31B were inserted. The Ninth Schedule of the Constitution was also inserted in the Constitution containing 11 Acts passed by the different state legislature and were given protection from judicial review, thereby creating the path of bureaucratic rule.

Welcome to Itihas Parikrama

Syamal Das, an eminent Lawyer, has keen interest in History and heritage was born on March 24, 1949 at Berhampore, west Bengal. His father Late Panchanan Das was a small Zaminder of Village Harirampore Chatai of the District of Murshidabad. When he was a boy of 5 years the Government of west Bengal passed the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act,1953 and next year; The West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1954. Panchanan Das was Very much shocked and at that time he was seriously ill. The fortune of the said small Zaminder’s family declined like other small Zaminders. Since childhood Syamal Das observed that the two Acts have played important part to destroy the middle class families of Bengal as well as destroying the Cultural Heritage of the larger society. He also observed that the politicians destroyed the agricultural economy and the ethics which was established on it’s basis without making any progressive economy and ethics and the vacuums is filling by the wicked culture and the society is becoming hell. He came to the conclusion that creating awareness and introducing the idea of renaissance is the only remedy to save our country from the losses and consequences.

Itihas Parikrama which was gradually established by him since 1990, was conducted by a Trust. The Trust has been permitting researchers to use it’s collections for research purpose through the N G O Itihas parikrama on and from September 20, 2000. With this goal an archive was established and it was inaugurated by the then Director General of National Archives Dr. Sukumar Sarkar.

Syamal Das always bears in  his mind that The Cultural Heritage is our identity and preservation of Cultural Heritage will clear the path to identify the people  as the Citizens of a noble country - India.

The idea of Shri Das is reflected by this organization Itihas Parikrama.

Preservation of our culture and heritage, reestablishing the old moral value and ethics, awareness and reestablishment of renaissance- idea is our motto.
